A paradise for nature, sports and music lovers
With its many lakes, forests and mountains, Austria offers a great range of outdoor activities. Austria is the birthplace of the classic alpine ski style. Many competitions are held in the Arlberg area, where some very famous ski resorts are located. Most families go to ski trips or weekends in the mountains. Snowboarding is very popular among young people.
In summer you can sail and even surf on one of the many Austrian lakes.
Horseback riding, soccer, tennis, volleyball are only a few of the other popular sports.
If you love great outdoors, Austria is the place to be!
If you are a musician, Austria is also the best choice for you. It is very common for our students to join the village orchestras and to play with more than 40 musicians.
STS Austria organises many weekends and get-togethers for their students, including ski weekends, weekends in Vienna etc.
