Soccer is a very popular sport, among  boys and girls. Handball is also popular in many communities. If you prefer other sports such as tennis, golf, basketball, volleyball, aerobics or ice hockey, just to mention some, they are also on offer.

Skiing in winter, and sailing and swimming in summer are the most popular activities among Norwegians. 

In addition to sports clubs, there are many organisations and clubs for children or grown ups involved with music, singing, dancing, drama, and arts and crafts.

Norwegians enjoy getting together for celebrations. In cities and towns young people go to youth clubs and discotheques, to the movies and to concerts. In summer there are all sorts of music festivals, including some of international reputation.
