The school in Mexico is very much similar to the one in the USA. You study two or three compulsory subject and choose among a wide range of elective subjects. For example, you can study arts and communication.

Most schools have many clubs, such as sports clubs or clubs with special interests. To join a club is a good way to make new friends.

The school day starts with all students singing the national anthem. The school uniform is mandatory in all schools.

The school year begins in August/September or January/February. There are two schedules: morning from 7 or 8am to 12.30 or 1 pm or afternoon from 2 pm to 6 pm. The holidays are 8 weeks in summer, 2 weeks at Christmas/New Year and 2 weeks at Easter.
