Clubs are very popular and most American teenagers are members of at least one club, may it be for sports, photography, drama, film, chess etc. Schools also provide a wide range of after hours activities and clubs, such as American football, cheerleading, computers, languages, journalism, ceramics etc.

And of course the USA is the country of inline skates, skateboards and street basketball. The asphalt surface is ideal for inline skating and there are basketball nets on almost every post. It's very hard to find a garage driveway without a basketball net!

Ice hockey, American football, basketball and baseball are all enormously popular. American leagues are world famous and watching a game, or rather a show, is an experience you cannot miss.

During the winter season, many people go to the mountains to ski or snowboard. The Rocky Mountains are the most popular destination with reknown resorts in every valley.
